The United Association founded in Washington D.C. in 1889 is a member of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). The United Association currently has over 300,000 members and just fewer than 300 individual locals.

Plumber Local Union 63 was granted its United Association charter on June 17, 1891. Plumbers Local Union 63 was originally started by thirty-six hardworking members to bring respectable wages and working conditions to the plumbing trade. Since its inception the local has grown to over three hundred members today. Today we provide excellent retirement, health insurance, and pay packages for our members.

Plumbers Local Union 63 has Jurisdiction in ten counties across Central Illinois. The head office for that Jurisdiction was held in Peoria, IL until 2002 when the office moved to East Peoria, IL. The East Peoria office located at 116 Harvey Court, is where we are currently have our office and training school.

Plumbers Local Union 63 has thrived for over a hundred and thirty years in the Peoria Area. The knowledge our members have handed down from generation to generation has improved Plumbers Local Union 63 through out its existence. Today with the knowledge and hard work of our members no job is too small or too big.
